What is solar energy?
Solar energy is the energy that is produced by our sun. The sun is about 3.9 times the 1026 watts, or 390,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 watts of energy produced. Part of this energy can be captured and converted into heat or electricity.
There are four ways that solar energy is captured from the sun, are these:

or flat plate solar gas-filled cells for spaceHeating
or photovoltaic cells for power generation
or passive solar heating
Flat plate solar systems filled with liquid

A more efficient variant of the vacuum tube system. With this system the collectors heat in a vacuum glass tube enclosed substantially reduced heat losses, making the system more energy efficient.
Gas-filled flat plate solar
A flat plate solar collector for gas is more liquid version of the same design, but instead of water can absorb solar energy collection, is air. TheHeated air is then pumped through a room or space to heat this area. Although not as efficient as systems filled with liquid, gas-based systems, the advantage of requiring less solar energy for heating, which means that the thermal power earlier in the day and then to start the evening.
Photovoltaic (solar electric)

Passive solar energy
Passive solar energy is where the sun warms up an object and that object then gives out heat once the sun has gone. Passive solar energy is something that we all appreciate and benefit from in our houses. Working in the same way as a storage heater modern design is now able to optimise the use of solar energy in this way.
